I am pleasantly surprised and pleased to know that this relatively small, and very attractive subwoofer (from a room decor viewpoint) can produce some seriously powerful low frequency effects! I purchased this subwoofer to replace a very effective, but large and unattractive, Velodyne subwoofer purchased about 10 years ago. It is with some surprise, and full satisfaction, that I report this new, smaller speaker is equal to and, frankly, superior to, its predecessor. Not inexpensive, but a real value in terms of performance and appearance! (Note: I purchased the equivalent cherry-finished (as opposed to this piano-black finished version.)
