Product Description UNIDEN 100 CH ONE TOUCH
Amazon.com Product Description The Uniden Clock Radio Scanner is a multi-featured conventional channel scanner allowing you to store and then scan up to 100 channels distributed over 10 banks. Other features include a service search and weather scan, listening to TV on the radio (channels 2-13), and an alarm clock with snooze function. In addition to your favorite broadcast channels, this clock radio keeps you in tune with public safety, police and fire departments, NOAA weather reports, and more. With channel memory, this unit scans frequencies at a rate of up to 60 channels per second to help you find the channel you're looking for. If you know exactly what you want, direct channel access let's you quickly dial in to your favorite channel. For faster scanning, you can even use a channel/frequency lockout function to skip over stored frequencies. This clock radio scanner has all the functions of regular radio/alarm clock. The scanner, in standby mode, displays the time. The alarm clock can sound up to 20 minutes or be shut off manually. A convenient snooze button lets you silent the alarm for an extra five minutes. You can listen to AM/FM and TV channels 2-13 or use them as your snooze alarm in the morning. You can store up to 30 broadcast channels (10 AM and 20 FM/TV) for quick and easy access. Ten frequencies can be set as priority channels which the clock radio scans and checks every two seconds. The Clock Radio Scanner's LCD lighted display can be enabled or disabled. A key touch-tone sounds to confirm you've made a valid key input while another tone alerts you of an invalid entry. The scanner requires AA batteries and will let you know when batteries are low and when they need to be replaced. This unit comes with the manufacturer's 1-year limited warranty. question February 21, 2010 G. Atkins i would like too know if this scanner will pick up this frequency 159.11250
Excellent product February 13, 2010 D. Moyer (Cranesville, PA USA) Being a volunteer firefighter I'm happy that this scanner does exactly what I need. The weather alert function works wonderfully to keep me informed of ever changing conditions in my area. The 100 channels allow me to monitor not only my own fire stations channels, but also nearby mutual aid departments as well as police service. So far this is a great product....
Works very well just a bit hard to program. February 2, 2010 Chris Olson I purchased this scanner for my wife believe it or not. She works at a nursing home and all the residents have one and she just had to get one. Of course, I did get the added benefit because I've always wanted one. I did lots of research before buying especially the previous comments left here on Amazon. I was concerned about programming issues mentioned before, but I'm fairly intelligent and figured it would be a breeze....well It would be if the instructions were a little more clear. I was able to figure it out without too much trouble, but I could definitely see someone without much technical aptitude having a problem. So, if you are thinking about purchasing this scanner don't be afraid. Just take your time and read the instructions VERY carefully. If you need help finding frequencies, [...]
Great Scanner for the money December 17, 2009 P. Blackburn (Parsons, KS USA) We've had several scanners over the years...this one was inexpensive, easy to program and use, and love the weather channel and battery back up. We live in an area prone to storms and tornadoes so when the power goes out, we can still hear what the emergency folks are saying. Liked it so much bought a second one as a gift.
Uniden 100-Channel Clock Radio Scanner November 30, 2009 Wallace Weihe Very easy to set up the channels. Holds channels when turned off or power loss. Old scanner required frequencies to be re-installed every time the power went off.
