1 out of 5 stars Sadly Disappointed   September 7, 2008
I'm a sucker and thought thought the little skulls on them were really cute. I was also drawn to fact that they had different sizes of the rubber padding.

However, the only way they stay in your ear is if you really plug them into your ear canal (no joke). If you don't, you won't hear any of the bass and it will sound crappy. If you do manage to shove them in your ear (which I found hard to do as it goes against my common sense and instincts) then you must be absolutely still, even yawning will make them pop right out. They also made my ear hurt after awhile. I got frustrated with them after about five minutes and threw on my ol' duct-taped headphones.

These ear buds have a lot more work to be put in them. I took mine right back to the store and swapped them for a different brand. I would recommend Sony's ear buds, as they conform right to the curve on your ear lobe. It's clear to see that this company did not field test or get an unbiased review before manufacturing these buds.

3 out of 5 stars Handy but disposable   August 30, 2008
I love Skullcandy their products are amazing, but I've gone through 2 sets of these headphones in six months! I travel home from work for two and a half hours everyday via train, subway, bus, and boat and these suckers block out even the loudest crazy homeless guy but, they burnout so fast. I've tried everything to keep my second pair from dieing(I don't blast them at full volume, I keep the cord untangled and I don't bend the wire at the jack, plus a few other little things) with little success (they finally cracked today). I've decided to give Skullcandy one more chance with their "hesh" headphones hopefully they'll last me as long as they have for my friends.

3 out of 5 stars great fidelity, if you're sitting still   August 18, 2008
I have to second all of the positive reviews I've read here about the sound. I recently bought a pair of these to replace my OEM iPod headphones. The sound quality with these Skullcandy buds is noticeably better than the stock Apple headphones. The pricipal design difference is that while the iPod headphones rest just outside the ear canal, the earbuds fit snugly inside and create a seal. As a result, the bass response is terrific.

The design is also great if you want to shut off the outside world, but it creates a problem if you're exercising, or even walking for that matter. I've noticed that as I walk, the sound of the cord rattling and bounding around is transmitted to the earbuds and creates an annoying "rubbing" sound (almost a low squeak). It drives me nuts, and I never had anything resembling this with the stock iPod headphones. Otherwise, if it weren't for that, this would be a five-star buy.

5 out of 5 stars Very Impressed   August 18, 2008
i have always stuck with the headphones that came with my ipod but the other day i was at a relatives house and he asked me if i wanted these because they didn't fit comfortably in his ears. always losing headphones and having friends that swore by these headphones i tried them out

i was quite impressed with the noise canceling while cutting the lawn. they also do have a left and right indicator on them but it is close to the inside of the silicone earpiece and hard to see if you dont carefully

these are the only pair of earbuds i have ever had with this kind of frequency response, holding up on even the deepest of songs and still keeping a crisp response and not sounding a bit tinny.

i only wish i had a pair of these sooner

and having listened to them would have expected a higher price

5 out of 5 stars Great buds for sansa c250   August 17, 2008
I have a sansa c250 and these buds sound great. They are much better than the set that came with it. For 15 bucks I cant complain.
