More significantly, the i.Beat organix FM's 512 MB of flash memory stores enough music for almost any workout or commute--up to eight hours of MP3 and 16 hours of WMA files. The device is no slouch from a playback perspective, either, with such options as repeat play (one or all songs), shuffle, repeat shuffle, folder, repeat folder, and resume. And navigation couldn't be easier thanks to the folder storage system and the four-line, two-color OLED display, which offers a 128 x 64 pixel resolution. Though the i.Beat organix FM is primarily designed for music, the unit also functions as a mobile storage device, with the ability to hold text files, small photos, and other data. Listeners will also dig the integrated voice recorder, which lets them record voice notes, lectures, and interviews in MP3 format for later use. The unit even offers a line-in jack for recording from an external source, such as a CD player or cassette deck. And should the music playback get a little tired by itself, you can turn on one of the dynamic visualization effects, which pulse to the beat of the music. As a bonus, the i.Beat organix FM offers a built-in FM tuner, which receives all your favorite FM stations while recording specific songs or programs. The tuner comes with 15 station presets and an automatic station search function for quick channel switching. I had a iRiver T10 1 GB MP3 Player and tossed it in frustration. I purchased this player (TrekStor i.Beat Organix FM 1 GB MP3 Player with FM Tuner) because it behaves like a flash drive - not dependent on Windows Media Player (you can use it, but don't have to.) I use it constantly. It is highly configurable, easy to figure out without the manual, has a long battery life and sounds great. It feels much nicer than the iRiver, the buttons are great. It supports many file formats: MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, ASF. Best of all it can use DRM but is not a slave to DRM. Next I'm buying the TREKSTOR 67136 Datastation Pocket x.u Portable 160GB Hard Drive & TREKSTOR 12GB USB-Stick CS-D Drive.
