At first,these headphones worked well. I take good care of them, always placing the ipod and my headphones in a protective case. Less than 2 months after buying them I can't hear anything but static. The left ear doesn't even have static coming out of it anymore.
Also, I tried other headphones in my same ipod and the sound is perfectly clear so I know the problem is with the headphones. Since Amazon's return policy is only within 30 days, I contacted the company directly and was told it was normal "wear and tear" and would not be refunded the money. I would have given these headphones another shot but not after dealing with the company.

I can understand a little criticism here and there regarding V-Moda's Bass Freq earphones, but those who give it awful reviews likely have one thing in common: they never got the right seal in their ears!
I received the earphones and was skeptical myself after I stuck them in my ears to the point which I thought was proper and pressed play. The sound was hollow, and didn't really sound any better than the standard iPod earbuds. I then adjusted the Bass Freq's to get a better fit, and the sound improved drastically.
Later that night, I realized that the silicon tips that came on the 'phones in the packaging were the smallest size, not the mediums as I had assumed. Once I put the medium silicon tips on, the Bass Freq's fit perfectly, and now sound incredible. Just make sure you get the right fit in your ears, and there's no doubt you'll be impressed with the Bass Freq's.
EDIT: A few months after getting these, one bud broke open and came disconnected. My brother was able to solder it back together to get it to work, but it just broke again, and I think it's done this time. I love the audio on these things, but they are fairly cheaply constructed. I would actually recommend breaking open each bud (it's not hard to do) upon receiving them, then super gluing the plastic back together so they can't come open by accident. This should prevent any issues when carrying them around.

Nice product. Good Quality. Only issue I face is its cable gets entangeled very easily. Bass is really good - no need to boost it using ur equalizer.

I WAS NOT EXPECTING THE GREAT SOUND QUALITY WHEN I PURCHASED THESE EARBUDS FOR MY HUSBAND FOR HIS MP3 PLAYER TO USE IN THE GYM. THEY ARE ALSO GREAT AT BLOCKING OUTSIDE NOISE. WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE TO FIND THAT THEY WERE AS GOOD AS THE SHURE E2c'S BUT AT LESS THAN 1/2 THE PRICE! I AM ALSO A SOUND ENGINEER, I SPEND LOTS OF TIME IN MY HEADPHONES MIXING AND CREATING MUSIC AND PRODUCING SOUNDTRACKS. I COULD USE THESE AS WELL IN A PINCH. YOU WON'T BE SORRY YOU BOUGHT THEM!

These are my first experimental pair of canalphones, and they work pretty well. They dont fall out of my ear and the sound quality is awesome. Some songs in my library would always distort with their high bass, but these seem to manage those different sounds well. They also cancel out a lot of unwanted noise, which is awesome for when your at work and don't want to hear someone calling you :-D. Great pair of phones, i'll use em as my main pair 'til the break.
