I bought a Panasonic DVD recorder a 3 years ago and bought a couple of Panasonic RAM discs at the same time and have recorded on them and erased them hundreds of times. I bought this 10-pack as the price was good and they are getting scarce in the stores and I have had great success with them over the years. I suspect they will last me until I'm 157 years old.
Pansonic DVD RAM Discs June 19, 2008 William J. Bonadies 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought them for my Panasonic DMR-EZ47K Recorder which had problems freezing occassionaly with SONY RW DVDs. With the RAM discs, no problems, recorder boots up quicker and has not frozen. Definitely the way to go for recording off the air..
A must have for the digital age! May 21, 2008 Ericson Mar (Woodside, NY United States) These are great! With my Toshiba player, I can cut out commercials, delete unwanted sections, and it frees up the space. You can even transfer it to a PC really easy by copying the largest file to the computer and renaming it to .mpg. You don't need a ripping program. The best thing about this is that you don't have to waste any discs to transfer video to your computer since you can just erase it and reuse it an infinite amount of times. This also acts like a large floppy disc (or small hard drive depending on your point of view) where you can just drag files in an out of the disc. It makes it perfect for backing up your files since you don't have to destroy the old disc like with DVD+/-R and don't have to waste time erasing/re-burning with DVD+/-RW. A fast combo drive costs like $30 too so its dirt cheap these days to upgrade. It's not as cheap as DVD-R but at $1.90, that's cheaper than what I used to pay for decent VHS tapes and this is much better!
Good Product February 15, 2008 Steven S. DiBona (CT, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These DVDs are excellent for editing right on you DVD recorder. I just wish you could 'Finalize' them for use on most DVD players. If you only intend to use them on your Panasonic DVD Recorder, you can't possibly go wrong.
