These are great CD-Rs July 3, 2003 Colin Gage (the SF Bay) I have used Memorex CD-Rs exclusively for a few years now, and can honestly say that they are wonderful to record with. They are very dependable whether burning at high or low speeds, unlike ProMedia CD-Rs, which I've also tried. Other reviews have stated that recorded CDs often do not work, but I have not experienced any problems with bad CDs or recordings on the CD writers I have used.Overall, this is a very good product with excellent value. I would recommend it to anyone using problematic or more expensive CD-Rs.
Good discs June 30, 2003 I've been using them for movies (AVI & SVCD) with excellent results. So far I've had no bad discs, no errors, and successful playback on 3 CD players as well as on my home video system's DVD player.
Good quality June 26, 2003 D. Schwartz (Seattle, WA United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are great quality recordable CD's. Inside the spindle, Memorex packages it so that there will be minimal bouncing around during shipping. They do this with tiny plastic rings. Though seeming like a miniscule detail, I've had experiences with spindles that don't come packaged this way, and it is a disaster. But, most importantly the CD's burn well, and I haven't had a problem thus far. The max speed of 48x is more than enough unless you are among the select few that own 52x burners.Good luck!

was unable to record on these cds, must be defects.
Didnyt Work For Me June 15, 2003 Heidi M. Hawkins (Bellingham, WA: City of Subdued Excitement) 13 out of 17 found this review helpful
My CD burner didn't like these CD-R's. I was having trouble finding the brand I had been using, so thought I'd try something new. I read the rave reviews here, and decided to give these Memorex CD's a try in my Marantz professional CD burner. They burned, but with a lot of static interfering with the music. I tried a second time, and got the same result. Went back to TDK with the same good results I'd had previously. I'm sure it matters what CD burner you use, whether or not these will work for you. Didn't work for me. ~heidimo
