Elements is all the photo editing software I need December 6, 2008 David Kinchen Pondering which software program I wanted for my digital and film photos, I settled on Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac, for my iMac computer. I've used the regular full-featured Photoshop program in a professional setting, at a newspaper to edit photos, but the needs of a newspaper are different from those of a home user. Elements has everything I need and nothing I don't need, plus the price is much more reasonable. Along with a book I purchased from Amazon.com, "Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac: The Missing Manual," I'm satisfied that I made the right choice.
Adobe PS Elements 6 Does Run on Leopard December 6, 2008 D. Bone (Anniston, AL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 (Mac) I've been using Adobe Photoshop, for the Mac, before they started putting version numbers in the title. So believe me when I tell you, Photoshop Elements 6 (Mac) is probably the best intermediate to advanced image editing and manipulating software around for most people. Some disgruntled individuals are claiming it won't run on the latest versions of Leopard. Wrong. I am running it on Mac OSX 10.5.5 and it runs flawlessly. In fact, I own two copies, run one on a 15" MacBook Pro, and the other on a Mac Pro multi core Desktop. ELEMENTS 6 DOES RUN ON LEOPARD!
Big Improvements November 25, 2008 Kelly Guenther (Seattle, WA) We had Photoshop Elements 2.0 for Mac and this is a whole new UI and a very slick program. It comes with a lot of graphics, etc. and takes up a bit of space but we find this covers ALL our Photoshop needs. We've worked with the full-on Photoshop and the learning curve is a pain, really. A big thumbs up for this.
This Version Sucks November 25, 2008 G. Reynolds (Ohio) 0 out of 11 found this review helpful
From a Powerbook G4 with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 (Worked great and was fairly straight forward) compared to 6.0 that is way overly complicated for a supposedly home version. By Pixelmator instead, much more friendly. Adobe is a bunch of bloatware DRM infected crap like Microsoft is.
Doesn't work with Leopard (OS 10.5.4 or above) November 7, 2008 MacUser (Kirkland, WA USA) 14 out of 28 found this review helpful
If you have a Mac running OS 10.5.4 or 10.5.5 (or above) you should be aware that NONE of the Photoshop Elements software versions--including 6-- is compatible with it. It won't work.
