Good Navigation System November 1, 2008 Balasubrahmanyam Rayudu (New Jersey, USA) It's a nice Navigation System with 4.3 inches screen with voice on streets and alerts. It has all the necessary features including Bluetooth, MP3 player and PIcture viewer and Traffic Status updates. I love this product. It's a right value for your money.
Our first GPS...and we LOVE it!!!! October 31, 2008 Teri Thomas (NY) Absolutely the best GPS system! We reviewed so many, questioned friend with others as well as Garmin's, and we made the right choice!
Garmin October 29, 2008 Elizabeth (Illinois) We recently used it on a trip and it was great! My only complaint is that it takes you on odd routes: when traveling through small towns, it took me off the highway (which went straight through town) and put me on residential street with stop signs - the other thing in that the two-hour trip from city A to city B (which I take about once a month)takes me on the most unusual route - when I have it set for Fastest or Shortest Route (I went on MapQuest to see what their directions are and they agree with me). So basically, use this as a "guide", but still travel the old-fashioned way - use a map and your common sense.
The Garmin 660 October 29, 2008 John L. Penna (PA) The 660 works well. The 4.3" screen is great. Entering addresses is not very intuiative. The biggest drawback is the TMC Clear Channel traffic service (horrendous). If you are buying this unit for the traffic updates get the 680 (MSN traffic).
Excellent choice October 28, 2008 Gregory C. Ehrhardt (PA) The Nuvi 660 worked excellent. It took it on our first long trip to Maine it did everything we asked it to do. The voice command was very easy to understand. If we missed a turn or decided to go a different way it recalculated in matter of seconds. We had to use the detour button once and it found an alternate route in 10 secs or less. I purchased an additional SD card (2gb) to put some music. You have to make sure it is in the correct format (mp3) or else it will not be seen. I had installed about 300 songs or so and it seemed to move very slowly when trying to play music. Going from the map to mp3 player there was a 5 sec delay. If you were just patient it works fine. Overall it is an excellent GPS system.
