2 out of 5 stars great sound poor quality   September 17, 2008

Got these in May with pepsi points and today one side doesn't work. When they did work they were the best sounding earphones I've had. the earphone when not in use were put in the closet with the wire hanging down so the wire was never tangled no reason for them to break. if it wasn't for getting these through the pepsi points I would be alot madder than I am now.

5 out of 5 stars First impression... excellent product   September 13, 2008
Midnight Rambler (Peoria, IL USA)
Fit in the ear canal is very good, and I like the sound. I've used these for a few hours both with my Creative Zen Touch and my Palm Centro. I like them, and the price was surprisingly low. I had to adjust the equalizers on both devices to surpress the bass and boost the midrange a bit, but that was expected. These compare well to my Sony cheapo phones, and more impressively, to my Koss Pro-4A's.

5 out of 5 stars better than any "cheap" earbuds. Excellent soundstage   September 13, 2008

Silicone tips are very comfortable. Sound is very good for the price.Better overall soundstage than THE SPARK PLUG!(WHICH I ALSO LOVE!)
People com'on,use common sense. You are listening to less than quality sound. Will a $300 set of earbuds make that much of a difference?

5 out of 5 stars The Best EarBuds for the Money   September 12, 2008

I tried several different earbuds in the $20-25 range and these are by FAR the best. I listen to a lot of bass heavy tunes and the other just didn't cut it when it came to bass, they would all drowned out or go fuzzy. These are crystal clear and they are also the most comfortable too!

2 out of 5 stars Great sound - Terrible build quality   September 11, 2008

These earbuds sound fantastic for the price, especially if you prefer bass heavy tunes. The comfort level provided by the many ear tip choices is excellent. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this product due to extremely poor build quality. Between my wife and myself, we have gone through THREE pairs of these buds in 8 months time. All three pairs had the exact same failure. After several months of moderate to heavy use the speaker enclosures would occasionally separate which eventually caused the soldered connections to break. Upon inspection of all three units, it was apparent that the soldered points were not well done and often didn't cover the entire diameter of the speaker wire. In other words, only about half of the speaker wire was secured by solder, which is plenty enough for an electrical connection however it is incapable of tolerating all but the slightest of pulls. Lastly, the cord on this unit is very thin making it susceptible to tangles. In summary, I can only recommend these earbuds for light duty due to the lack of durability. The sound quality can't be beat at this price point. V-Moda: Improve your build quality and you will truly have an excellent product!

Note: I've since moved on to the much more expensive Shure SE110, and have not looked back. In my opinion, the money spent is worth the improved sound and build quality, and Shure backs their products with a 2 year warranty.
