The KX-TG9344T DECT 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone with All-Digital Answering System lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. Now you can program each handset to ring at your discretion. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to Night Mode so that it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the den will still ring when that important call comes in, without disturbing the person who's sleeping. English is funny September 5, 2008
The phones are working very good. The voice on caller ID is very broken up English. The computer voice does not know how to pronounce words correctly.
Over all the phone system is excellant.

I will concur with most comments made, but I must say, I really like this phone, it is quite clear and definitely an improvement over the 2 phone Panasonic 900MHz set I bought and used for the last 5 years at the low low cost of $145.00, I gave it to a friend cause it still works well. To the reviewer who is getting missed calls on the other three phones, return it, it is broken. The greatest annoyance is the inability to see who called while someone is still on the line, I can live with it. It lights up well and is easy to see who is calling from a distance, and the "annoying" yellow light isn't noticeable unless you are elevated above it, I sleep with it right next to my head and I don't notice it, maybe if I had white walls... I like the feature, I can tell it is connected to the charger as the light is off when lifted out of the base. The phone also displays charging complete, Nice. Only takes 7 hours for a full charge and uses readily available AAA NI-MH rechargeables. Wall mount for the answerer is an extra and wasn't included, I wasn't aware of that. 4 phones for the price is an awesome deal. I've owned lots of other phones, I am sold on Panasonic.

I upgraded to the Panasonic KX-TG93xx series phone after our older KX-TG5771 model's caller ID stopped working. I have always been pleased with Panasonic quality, and this phone is no exception. Great sound and the talking caller ID is a must-have in our house. The old and new models are very similar in many respects. Here are some features that stood out in our use of the KX-TG9344:
PROS:
The talking caller ID will announce the names that you have stored in your phone book. So instead of hearing "Out of Area" as on the previous model, you hear "Uncle Bob's Cell Phone" if that is in your phone book.
Changes to the phone book on one extension are automatically updated on all phones. On the earlier model, you had to select a menu item to download the phone book to every other phone one by one.
CONS:
No display of number of new messages on the base phone. I knew this before buying the phone, but did not realize how much I would miss it. If a telemarketer calls, for instance, and you let the answer machine pick it up, all you have afterward is a blinking light on the phone. You assume it is the telemarketer's call, so you ignore it, not realizing that a few minutes ago when you stepped outside, a call came in from a family member that you want to return right away. But you have no indication that you have received an additional call on the answering machine until you decide to play back the messages.
When screening calls that the answering machine is recording, you can only hear the caller on the base phone, not on the extensions. So when you are in a room with only an extension and an unfamiliar number calls you, you cannot tell if it is really someone you wish to speak to, until after the call and you listen to the recording.
When playing back your recordings, the answering machine does not announce the date and time that the call was received. So you cannot be sure if the message is an old one that everyone has heard before and can be erased or if it is a new one that you need to keep until another family member has a chance to hear it. The caller should not be required to say "It's Monday at 3:30 pm" -- that's what the phone should be able to do!
Extension handsets are identified by number instead of by name. So when you need to find out which room an extension belongs to or you want to connect via intercom to another room, you have to remember that #2 is the kitchen phone instead of just seeing "Kitchen" on the display.
SUMMARY:
All of the cons listed above are features that were on the older model KX-TG5771, but are missing from the newer KX-TG93xx series phones. Most of them would seem to be a simple matter of programming. Why can't phone manufacturers keep all the good features of an old phone when they add new ones to an upgraded phone?

This is the best phone I ever had. Great voice and coverage and battery life. Very nice features; especially the sharing of phone book; checking messages from any handset or by dailing in from your cell or office when you are away.
The TalkingCallerID feature is great but can be improved; why not provide a few accents to let the phone speak in. Also, it should allow users to name the handsets and not just number them.

Mr/Ms Mandel. Your comment regarding missed calls is incorrect and misleading. The missed call feature is perfectly fine. I have tested it multiple times and never had the issue that you reported. Please check it again.
Also, I have a suggestion on your comment regarding limited recording time. The phone provide you the ability to use your messaging system remotely. So while you are on your 2 weeks vacation, you can call home and check the messages and only keep the one you want. Hope this helps.
Third, your comment regarding the talking caller id is also misleading. The CallerId speaks out the name the calling party has registered with their subscriber. Your phone has no control over it. Most of the time its the international calls or the telemarketing calls made by computers that would display unknown.
A great feature that no one mentioned was that for saved contacts, the talking caller id would use the phone book entry name instead of subscriber provided name. For example, if a person named "Johny Walker" calls you and that contact is saved as "Great Whiskey" in your phone book, then the talking called id would say....."Call from great whiskey".

I purchased the panasonic phone system and so far am very pleased with it.
When you read the directions and follow them, there should be no problems. In addition, I found the price to be very competitive.
