Seems as good as the OEM that came with our phone. September 14, 2008 LAWRENCE J SYLVAIN (Gainesville, VA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Uniden BT-446 Battery (Equivalent) We ordered this battery pack for about $2.50 plus about $5.00 shipping. I suspect that $5.00 shipping charge comprises the lion's share of the profit on this item. You have to earn profit somehow in business, right? So that works out to about $7.50 per battery pack, which still beats out competitive products. Before you order that brand name battery pack you're comparing to this one to, open your cordless phone and take a look at the battery pack you are replacing. It's probably a few years old, right? And the batteries probably don't have any brand name on them, right? Guess what? These kind of batteries last a few years. That's all they're intended to last - regardless of whether or not they have a big brand name on them. So why pay $10.00 for a name brand (even if it comes with "free" shipping), when you're not likely to get better results? The manufacturers - who want happy customers and don't want returns and bad reviews - ship new phones with these kind of batteries because they know they work well and will have a reasonably long useful life span. Finally, let's face it. This is a commodity item. You're lucky the phone is still working well enough to replace the batteries after a few years. How many more years do you really expect to have the phone for anyway. Probably a few more. These batteries should last the rest of the phone's useful life. If the phone goes bad, you'll lose that much less with these batteries. If it doesn't, then you can pay another $7.50 in three years or so and juice it up good as new again. These batteries are a great value. If we end up experiencing an early wear-out I'll post another review, but I don't expect that to happen. I mean, common. They're rechargeable batteries for a cordless phone. It's not like we're using these to perform life saving surgery or something... We just gab on the phone for very long periods of time and are pleasantly surprised to see we have a lot of juice left when we're done talking. What more can you ask for than that, right? Good deal, this one.
