Amazon.com Product Description The Panasonic KX-TG8232B DECT 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone System with Two Handsets uses the latest DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology for outstanding range and clarity. It operates on the 1.9 GHz frequency for less interference from household items such as wireless networks, keyboards, and microwaves, and is less susceptible to eavesdropping. Two handsets are included and up to four additional handsets can be used with the base unit without any need for wires or setup. An all-digital answering system is built into the base and features flash memory that holds 16 minutes of recording time. The phonebook can hold 50 entries and the Caller ID can be linked to the phonebook so that a certain color gets flashed depending on who is calling. Call-waiting Caller ID shows you the name and number of an incoming call even while you are already on a call. Digital duplex speakerphones are built into the back of both handsets for clear hands-free conversations.

Best cordless yet!! November 30, 2008 Sharon Jewel (Santa Fe, NM) I have read all the reviews and the pros and cons, and the only gripe I have with this phone is that the lit up color screen is always on, when it's on the base. One phone is in my bedroom and I like to sleep in total darkness, but I solved the problem by slipping a cloth eyeglass case over the handset at night. Other than that I love this phone. I have not had some of the other problems that others were mentioning. The audio is good. People can hear me crystal clear and I can hear them. The speakerphone is almost as clear, maybe with very slight distortion, but it is just fine in light of what else this phone has to offer. Others can hear me just fine on speaker, it's just that from my end it is not perfect, but it is still good. This phone has some of the functionality of a cell phone with ringtones and wallpaper. I love all the ringtones, but they could have done alot better with the wallpaper. The color background choices for the screen are great. This phone is so light and thin, I can put it in my pocket. The answering machine doesn't have the clearest audio, but I don't use that feature anyway. The phone is so good looking and takes up very little space. The sound is just fine. Since no phone so far is perfect, to me this is the best one out there. It is all I wanted in a cordless. I love it and it works great! You can turn off the answering machine if you want to use the voicemail provided by your service provider. Whether the voicemail is through the answering machine or your service provider, instead of a flashing light, there is a message on the LED screen indicating that there is voicemail waiting. Maybe a flashing light is easier to spot from a distance but the message on the screen is still easy enough to see. I wish that there was an option to turn off the LED display at night. This to me is the worst thing about the phone. All in all, it's a GREAT phone!
Panasonic does it again! November 25, 2008 Maurice Schmir (Eliot, ME) Once again Panasonic demonstrates how to do it right. Superb functionality and ergonomics. A logical successor to its previous models. Excellent cosmetics, sound quality and overall performance. No other cordless manufacturer comes close. 'Nuff said.
Very functional phone October 20, 2008 GEORGE F. HAMPLE (CONYERS, GA United States) This seems to be a very functional phone. Set up was not very difficult and has an answering system that can be switched off with little effort. (I have a high performace-volume-clarity answering machine that is much better). Overall this phone does what it is supposed to do.Panasonic Expandable Digital Cordless Dect 6.0 Phone System (KXTG8232B)
Excellent phone for the price October 15, 2008 Budiarta Djajadi (Martinez,Ca USA) This an excellent phone, first size is perfect for a very small table. Plenty of features and haven't got a chance to use them all, good reception and can walk a block away still manage to receive and call out. And for the price its worth more.
