I have received bad T5845 and T5846 paper & cartridges made by Epson for the PictureMate PM260 and I have had to return products to get replacements from Epson in the past. So you can get bad products even from the big manufacturer. The cost of Epson Cartridges/paper is high as most companies charge more for cartridges and paper in general where they make their big profits from. Epson product in most case work the best for their units but also can be bad. I usually try to stay away from compatible products in general.
I decided to try out something that would be cheaper. The LD-T5846 came in a semi-crushed box and had me worried. I tried it out and recieved very good quality pictures not only printed on the LD paper that I ordered from them, but also on the Epson photo paper I tried. I was surprised with the quality. I only printed 20 photos and the color looked deep, vivid, and rich.
I will continue to use Epson inkjet cartridges and paper for my high quality photos, but now have an alternative for printing bulk quantities of photos for at least 10 cents less more or less than the Epson's. I probably will get some bad paper and cartridges, but I believe after talking to LD Products, I can get replacements without any problems. I will reorder from them and I do recommend. If you want to save some money, this would be the way to go.
I have printed an additional 70 photos since my first review and my Epson PictureMate PM260 clogged up. I tried 11 time to unclog the heads before I got some satisfaction. I am not positive if it was caused by the ink in this cartridge, but I am leaning that it possibly the cause. I have not had problems with the Epson cartridge clogging the heads in the past. This cartridges prints very deep and vivid photos that look very rich. The photos actually look thicker than those printed using the Epson cartridge. It could be that the ink is too rich/thick for the Epson PM 260. I cannot prove or disprove . I am decreasing the review from 4 to 3. Just beware and clean your heads often with this cartridge. I also see that this cartridge might might not print the quantity that the Epson Crtridge will.

We ordered one of these to see if they were any good and were satisfied with it, so we ordered several more. 2/3 of the second lot leaked and the rest clogged badly after only a few uses. To make matters worse, the vendor took about 6 weeks to get them to us. We will pay more to get cartridges that work from now on.
