Product Description Resonance damping rings and adjustable isolation studs provide superior acoustic isolation. Foundation Mount brackets provide safe and secure bolt or screw mounting to many of today's better speakers. The heavy-gauge tubular steel pillars can be filled with sand or shot for increased mass. A wire management path keeps speaker cables safely organized. And the heavy 10-gauge steel base includes both adjustable spikes and rubber feet.

Solid and versatile July 29, 2008 J. BERRY 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Easy to assemble, which is good, because the enclosed instructions are a bit lacking. They're fairly heavy without using the sand-fill option and sturdy enough to support my 40lbs apiece monitors with ease. There's three ways of coupling the speakers to the top plates( pads, metal studs or Foundation Mount system ), and the bottom plates can rest on pads or spikes. Very versatile and solid and worth the money. The right size Phillips head screwdriver is a must for good assembly.
Excellent speaker stands March 27, 2008 Jeff G. Highly recommended! I was looking for stands that would hold heavier (> 25 lbs) bookshelf speakers for a while. They are solid, very easy to assemble and they look great!
Steel Speaker Stand by Sanus Well Made July 26, 2007 Lorraine Haslip (Malvern, PA USA) I bought this center stand to match the front speaker stands I have in a 5.1 surround sound system. The stands are heavy, well made and look great. The only drawback is that the top portion can twist out of position to the bottom portion. I am a stickler for perfection, so I gaze downward from above and line them up perfectly. Once in position, they stay there. I actually needed the stand to be 10 inches shorter, so I took the two metal "pipes" to a metalworker/welder, and for $15 he cut them, and welded back on the screw in portion. The result is the right height and it is perfect. These stands are well made with good quality heavy metal and well applied slightly textured powdercoat. I would buy again and recommend.
