 Great Product! August 22, 2008
I bought two of these to hold my cable box and dvd player. I took the advice of others who have purchased these and flipped them over and mounted the legs on the other side for a much cleaner looking mount.
They work great on my 73" inch dlp tv. I would highly recommend this if your looking for a sturdy shelf.

Before I purchase this shelf I have a question that needs to be answered before I go ahead. How far do the legs of the shelf extend as I am looking for the legs to extend approx 6.5 to 7" to fit to my Sony TV. Can someone advise me. Thanking you in advance for this advice.
OK product but be ready for assembly "fun" July 18, 2008
Unit seems stout and attractive. It is much better than a plastic shelf my mother-in-law bought at a drugstore. I especially like the perforations that allow air circulation.
However, be ready for some intellectual 'fun' trying to decipher the instructions. Because I had read the previous reviews, I knew the "instructions" were poor. After a career as an engineer, I am tempted to buy another unit as a bad example training unit. I enjoyed the challenge but others may want to fling the darn thing out a window!
All the pieces are there, you just need to hunt them down. Threads are poorly done (one pin was unusable) but irrelevant to me because I installed mine upside down - a good idea from other reviews.
exactly what i needed July 13, 2008
Lightweight, sturdy, easy to install - just what I wanted to hold my Tivo on top of my Sony TV. I've had this for a couple of years and it's been great.
Very clever center speaker stand June 12, 2008
It is very versatile and still very sturdy. In fact it can be used in even more ways than the manual points out, to fit more kinds of TVs and surfaces. I use it on top of my Sony 55A3000 rear projection LCD. My speaker is about 20 lbs and I do not see any signs of stress on the TV or the stand. And at this price point, it seems like a very good value for money.
One bad point is that it offers no mechanism to conceal the speaker cables going to the speaker.
Overall, Higly recommended.
