This is one of the finest kick mics I have ever heard. The sound that it delivers, when placed correctly, is perfect. All it takes is a little patience in finding the desired positioning for the best sound - but when you find it, you will not be disappointed with the result.
The D6 sounds great on its own, but when used with another mic, preferably a quality mic that can pick up some of the more pronounced, higher-frequency sounds (such as the Sennheiser MD 421 II - often used on toms), the sound is simply stunning.
This mic is well-worth the price.
