First of all, and this is a big deal if you are planning to use this with a handheld mic, there are little lugs on each side of the already oversized and too large rubber XLR surround. This makes it very difficult to get the connector in and out of the mic stand clip, and every time causes the connector to be put under unnecessary stress. I shaved off the two little lugs on the mic end with a pocket knife, making it better but still not as good as a standard Neutrik XLR.

I bought 4 of these, using 2 of them. Within one month, one of them had developed a fault in the connector and was causing that annoying staticy cutting in and out issue. This was from use in my project studio only, not on stage. I have been using professional XLR cables for over 10 years and always take good care of my cables. I used to make my own and they are still holding up after years of touring!!! I thought Monster were supposed to be the best cable around... just clever marketing it seems???

Fortunately they have a lifetime warrently, but I still had to take time to get a Return Auth and pay for shipping back to them. Next time this happens I will just cut the connectors off and solder on a couple of Neutriks. The cable itself appears fine. The badly designed XLRs seem to be the root of the problem with these.
