Great value, good sound! October 14, 2008 NHgboy (Newport, NH United States) These sound good for the price. I have used them on my computer and my 80GB iPod. They fit snugly and are very lightweight. I compared these to my mom's Bose noise-canceling headphones and didn't hear much difference. One thing I did notice: these headphones are much louder than the Bose headphones. The sound these headphones produce when matched with newer music on my iPod (burned from recent or remastered cds) is really sweet! I bought these primarily for listening to podcasts on my iPod, but am happy listening to music through them as well.
Great headphone September 26, 2008 Megan I really love this product from Skullcandy! It hits hard with the bass, as well as delivering well on rock songs as well. It is a great, all-around headphone. My one beef is that they do fall off fairly easy. Look down, and they are on the floor. I wish it took a little more to get them to come off. I love the portable fold option that these are made with, but it does such sometimes taking them from around my neck, since the part that bends sometimes catches my hair. Not necessarily the worst thing, but sometimes can be annoying. Overall a great product from Skullcandy. These are probably my favorite headphones that I own.
fashion over function? September 19, 2008 A. G. Poelman (Washington, DC USA) These headphones are sweet to look at, but not so hot on functionality. They fit fine, but I'm disappointed in volume quality and control. Your money could be put to better use ... Sony, Bose or such.
Disappointed - Mediocre Headphones September 7, 2008 Love BUG (JC, TN) I just received my pink Lowrider headphones in the mail today and was pretty excited. That excitement went right down the drain as soon as I put them on. I was expecting exceptional bass and sound and to be honest, that isn't what I got. These headphones were replacing some I bought from the Dollar Store (yes, you heard that right) and the ones from the Dollar Store had MORE bass than these. I feel like I have wasted my money. Although the sound is clear, it just isn't perfect and if these didn't cost 30 dollars (and I hadn't ordered them online) I would gladly switch back to my Dollar Store headphones. Even messing with the equilibrium settings on my iPod Classic didn't do much. If you're looking for exceptional bass quality, believe me, these AREN'T for you. I'd buy them for cheap but not for the price they're asking. It's just not worth it. AND, they keep falling off of my head and they're at the smallest width possible. At least they're cute.
MacRed is gorgeous August 28, 2008 Julia Cheng I think everyone else has the headphone specs covered, so I just wanted to comment on the MacRed color, which currently sells for a spectacular $20.93 here. It's a muted warm plum color with a metallic sheen, which is far better than the fire engine red I thought I was going to get. I would get this color even if it weren't the cheapest one available. To add a bit to the specs, the sound quality is rich, clear, and very satisfying. The headphones also fit somewhat loosely and awkwardly on my head when I wear my glasses, so I wouldn't strongly recommend this if you usually wear thick framed glasses. The whole thing is made of light plastic, but I expected that from small headphones like these. Overall, I'm really pleased with these headphones.
