in ear headphone October 3, 2008 William Hsueh an excellent in ear headphone, the best i have ever used. the sound is crisp, clear and the high and low are all there. it is also very comfortable to put in the ear. the noise cancellation or isolation feature is not great, especially in the airplane. otherwise a great product.
Useless for running.... April 22, 2008 NKL 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have tried each and every attachment and these headphones will not stay in my ears even for the first few steps of my run. The sound quality is fine but even sitting still I found them quite uncomfortable. Do not buy these if you are looking for headphones to wear while you run/work-out. They will drive you crazy!
Great for Motorcycling January 16, 2008 D. Griffin I am a live vocalist for a band. I use in-ear monitors in a loud stage environment for hearing protection and monitor quality. I tried a set of these E2 on my motorcycle MP3. They are THE TICKET. Not only is the sound quality excellent...but they reduce extraneous noise by about 25 to 30 dB. However I plan on getting custom ear pieces molded. After a long road trip the OEM tips begin to hurt my ears a bit.
Look both ways when crossing the road! August 16, 2007 Englishman in New Jersey (Bergenfield, NJ, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I own a 30 Gb iPod, and was getting tired of the cheap earphones that come with it. Aside from the cable getting frayed and wires exposed, sound leakage was so bad that I had to turn up the volume all the way (not good for the hearing!). Sound quality wasn't great either. I then ordered the E2C earphones and after trying each size of the clear plastic inserts for the ears, I settled on the medium sized pair. They were ALMOST perfect, but today's commute demonstrated that unfortunately they had a tendency to slip out just enough to be problematic. Sound isolation had improved and I was able to turn down the volume, but they sounded rather tinny, with no bass. I arrived home and tried out the disposable spongy ear inserts instead. What a difference! A solid fit, great sound isolation and a lovely rich sound. From reading other posts about Shure sound isolating earphones, it does seem that different inserts suit different people, and that if you experiment you will find the one that suits you. Only time well tell in terms of the earphones' durability and the rate at which I will have to replace the disposable ear inserts, but I'm very happy so far. My one 'cavet emptor': do look both ways when crossing the road! These earphones do a great sound isolation job, so don't assume you will always hear that truck bearing down upon you!
Good Quality Sound March 17, 2007 Audrey S. Anderson (Lexington, KY USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
These did take some experimenting to get a good fit. I use them regularly while running on the treadmill, and they work fine. They help block out the sound of the treadmill and other noises. I recommend them highly.
