Just plug this in to do a basic test of your Ethernet wires or jacks.
It can be used to remotely turn on the indicator lamp on your router or switch so you can see what Ethernet wire each computer is on.

Plugging it in makes the router or switch think a computer is plugged into it. So you can turn on your router "sync" light to verify the connection without having to plug in a computer when you are testing your wall jacks.
