Okay, but loose November 3, 2008

I got this and even though it is not exactly clear you can still see through it pretty well. However after a lot of opening and closing it is really loose and the cover now slides off very easily. It was cheap so it works for what I originally intended it for.

At first, I thought the CLEAR SILICONE SKIN COVER FOR LG ENV2 would be a great protective cover for my phone. But when I got it, the cover isn't clear at all it's white.
I didn't buy this from Amazon. I bought it from the Verizon site and they claimed that it was "clear" but as you can see in the picture, on Amazon's site, it's not clear but opaque.
Anyway, to be fair it does fit the phone like a glove and there are grooves imprinted on the front and inside cover for the numbers and keyboard, which should keep them clean. And there are openings for the mini-disk door, charger opening and earphone plug. The area for the internal and external display and camera lens are also open which means the cover won't protect the screens.
So it's not a total waste, but it really makes the phone look horrid! It looks like a phone condom, LOL. Maybe if it glowed-in-the-dark it would have been novel, but not the way it is.
Still if you're looking for some kind of protection for you EnV2 (and don't mind what the phone looks like) the case will offer some protection...at least from dirt and finger prints.
I'd say pass on this and wait for something better to come along and just be careful with your phone.

This is an O.K. alternative till better cases come out in the future. The LG enV2 doesn't seem to have many options for accessories. A cell phone accessory salesperson in a mall kiosk told me that silicone skin is a bad casing for a phone because it doesn't allow heat to escape from the phone, causing malfunctions. I'm waiting for a nice leather case with a belt clip to come out. Until then I guess this will work.
