Product Description Finally, you can make good use of available USB upstream ports on your PC, and free-up the parallel port for devices like your Zip drive. Use the USB to Centronics 36 male adapter cable to attach your legacy IEEE 1284 bi-directional printer, and forget the hassles of IRQ sharing. That's the beauty of USB. Choose the transparent adapter cable to match your new iMac! The Lastar USB to Parallel adapter cables are fully compliant with the USB specification ver. 1.1, and support standard PC parallel port register based operation. They auto negotiate hardware recognition for faster protocol set-up, and support multiple logical channels. Maximum throughput is 1.216m bytes/sec. (ECP mode), and they come complete with a PC driver disk for common printers. Also, included is a 1 meter USB A/B cable.

USB - IEEE-1284 Cable November 18, 2008 Boris M. Brodskiy At first I am Boris. This is my email address. I bought for Vilyam just one item he asked me. This cable is working well. Thank you. I recommend it to everybody who has a problem with the regular printer cable.
Works very well on HP Laser Printer May 4, 2008 S. Tackaberry 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this to work with a Laserjet 5 printer. I found it installed easily and needed no drivers to work with Windows XP. I've printed text and graphics without a problem. Very happy with this product.
Works with a macbook June 27, 2007 T. Firth (Baldwin, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Count me in the ranks of the intel mac users below who were able to use this cable. My recently purchased hp 5100tn is no longer a $450 paperweight. Thanks to the other reviewers who swayed me to try this cable!
No-brainer... April 26, 2007 Jer (NY) I plugged it into my old Laserjet 4P, and connected my MacBook Pro. It worked. Ta-da.
