Allows easy way to listen to your Ipod in the car March 14, 2010 David Gryte This worked well when I was in cars that did not have an Ipod connection. It is, however, frustrating to use in areas where there are a lot of radio stations (e.g., NYC). Also, when traveling from city to city, the available frequencies change quite a bit, so you have to change the settings. That being said, this was a great way to listen to my Ipod until I got a car with an Ipod connection.
ipod fm transmitter March 5, 2010 R. Weigel (harrisburg, pa) this product works...
be aware, though, of the location of ur vehicle's radio antenna...
my honda pilot antenna is in the rear side window -- about as far from the radio as u can get...
as a result, the limited transmission power of this product struggles to deliver a static free signal...
if the antenna is closer to the front of the vehicle, u'll love this product...
Great product, although not all it's hyped up to be. March 4, 2010 Aaron Goodwin (Apple Valley, CA USA) Let me say that generally, this product works great for the features that work.
Pros:
Ease of use (very easy to find a clear station and select it)
Strength of signal
Cons:
Doesn't actually charge newer iPods/iPhones
Sometimes will just freak out and send shrieks of alien laser beam noise
Body is made of very flimsy weak plastic that can cause the electronic components to get shaken up easily.
Great sound, low price March 2, 2010 trlamb (Salem, OR USA) I read Eric William's review and printed his instructions for relatively easy setup. As a result, I get great reception and sound. I store the adapter in my car's ashtray, with the cigarette lighter removed. I'm stuck with a cord to the iPod but it's a cheap solution!
iPod car connector/charger March 1, 2010 anna_chronistic I wanted a way to listen to my iPod Nano 3G in my 2007 car and thought I was out of luck. My car isn't old enough to have a tape deck, and that was all I had seen as a converter. Then I noticed a review for one of these online and decided to give it a try. It's super user-friendly and intuitive to use. Although the sound quality is not perfect it's "good enough for government work," and now I can bop along to my own songlists as I drive. I recommend it!
