Product Description Do you want discs to store all your files that will last a long time? Then get these Archival Gold DVD-Rs that has an expected lifetime of 100 years. You'll never have to worry about your data disappearing on you. These discs have a 2-hour or 4.7GB capacity to store all your photos, music, data, documents, videos, and more. Other DVD-R's may deteriorate quickly due to common environmental factors: ultraviolet light, heat, and humidity. Using N.I.S.T.'s (National Institute of Standards and Technology) accelerated aging process to test the longevity of DVD-R media, the Archival Gold DVD-R has been shown to safely store your files for more than 100 years. Gold is used as the reflective layer of the disc. Since gold is one of the most inert, reflective elements on earth, it's perfect for resisting the effects of temperature and humidity. These characteristics prevent oxidation, a common cause of failure to most DVD-R's. Thirty percent of Delkin's cost to produce every Archival Gold disc is due to the use of 24-karat gold.

| Customer Reviews:
No problems here February 21, 2008 I've been using these on two different DVD burners without a single problem. I haven't had any coasters, and the product came in excellent condition. It's certainly nice to have a non-hard drive long-term storage solution.
I wouldn't have minded a little more room on the disc to write my description, but that's a minor point.
Check back in 95 years. If the data is still readable, I'll forgive the skimpy Description line and give it that fifth star.
Don't buy if you use a Mac November 30, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought two packages of these disks by mistake after having good success with Verbatim Gold DVDs. I've tested every burn speed on my Quad Mac running OS-X 10.5.1 and they burn great, but never finish or verify. You can use these disks for coasters, not burning. Not recommended -- they would get zero stars if the rating option went that low.
Good idea, but not impressed September 14, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have 5 DVD burners in 3 different machines. These discs will work with exactly ONE of them. They're incompatible with the others. As the company suggested, I upgraded drivers and tried a few of the tricks they recommended. Nothing worked. Also, when I realized they weren't working, the company offered to refund my money. After a week of trying to get one to work, they withdrew their offer...sticking me with a spindle of very expensive, almost worthless DVDs. As far as if they'll actually last 100 years? Nobody can possibly know. Big thumbs down.
They're great! January 10, 2007 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I needed a way to archive my photography - that will not corrupt in a few months! Thank you Delkin Devices!!!!
