 Provides good protection but has minor drawbacks December 3, 2008

I'm quite pleased with the screen protector. It does its job without too much interference. Applying the protector was a bit challenging and impossible to perfect, but I got it close enough that I was happy. With the protector, the Dare's display is not as crisp as before... it's visibly fuzzy but not by much. Drag scrolling is a little bit more difficult with the protector, but the screen is not smudged in the process. The included microfiber cloth is great. I used it to clean the screen before applying the screen protector. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. It's clear that the product works, and I'm willing to cope with its minor drawbacks for the protection.

I got this screen protector for my LG Dare. After I cleaned the screen thoroughly, I applied the film. It had a few bubbles that were in the middle of the screen that no credit card or flat surface would force to the side and out of view. I then realized that they were specs of dust under the film. I took the film off, cleaned the screen again and reapplied the film. Now there were twice as many bubbles and although were barely visible when the back light was on, it was extremely annoying. Anyway, what I decided was to pour about an ounce or 2 of rubbing alcohol into a flat saucer. I then placed the film into the alcohol and "splashed it around a bit to get the dust off. Then I placed the "wet" film onto the screen and lightly rubbed out the alcohol to the sides, while holding the microfiber close to the sides to catch any alcohol drops. Then I let it dry over night with out dialing or fooling around with the phone. This worked perfectly! The film has a great anti-glare finish to it that does its job as well as gives a better feel when sliding your finger across the screen than normal. I don't know why these devices don't come with these from the factory. Great product, just don't have a fan or heater nearby when applying. If you do get bubbles, try the alcohol trick.

The screen itself is glossy and unclear when applied. You can still see everything clearly but the screen itself is not completely clear. I ended up applying another screen after I was finished with it. The micro fiber cleaning cloth is excellent and almost worth the purchase.

I bought this after seeing a similar one on sale at best buy for 20.00. I was worried it would be low quality, but I was very happy when recieving it. I dont notice any loss of screen sensitivity, it lays on really nicely, and seems quite secure. It has a very small one mm gap at the bottom of the screen, but i am sure that is only there to help center the sticker and reduce overlap.
It has a anti glare finish and this works very well. It achieves this similarly to new tvs, by having sort of a haze when viewed with the screen off. As soon as the display backlight fires up, it appears bright and clear. This also helps reduce visible fingerprints.

Good enough, doesn't stick quite as well as I'd like. Tends to come loose at the corners, but it is clear and sticks well in the main areas.
