5 out of 5 stars Great look, great fit   August 27, 2008

I bought this Krussell case simultaneously with my TX. The Palm TX fits perfectly so that it sits very snug. The flip case snaps into place by a magnet in the back. Also, I found the belt clip design to be more sturdy than others I've used in the past. The leather has a very classy look to it with black on the outside and tan on the inside. Some may appreciate the card slots. I would be happier if it had less credit card slots and more SD card slots.

5 out of 5 stars best case for TX   July 3, 2008
cyberchicken (PA, USA)
I've had at least 2 cases for my Palm TX pda before
getting this one. Each of the previous ones had serious
shortcomings: the hard case would not open 360 degrees
so it was difficult to hold, plus it was very
heavy. The leather case did not offer enough space for
the main up/down/left/right button (or controller), so
I couldn't scroll the pages.

This case is very good. The aesthetic design is
beautiful, and the leather is high quality both on the
outer and inner sides. It's a tight fit to the device,
and it leaves just the right amount of space for the
buttons. It has a magnet that will keep it securely
closed, but the magnet also works when you open the
upper half and snap it to the back of the pda, so you
don't have to keep it pressed while using it.
I don't use those "multidapt" external hooks, so I
can't comment on them.

5 out of 5 stars I love this case.   April 7, 2008

I love this case. Using with my Palm TX. It's built very very well. Looks sharp and slick. Holds your TX in place brilliantly. It really looks even better in person than it does in the pictures on the internet, which can't be said about a lot of products these days. We're all sick of ordering something that looks real nice and opening the box and finding junk.

The one and only weird thing I'm not crazy about is the headphone jack hole in the case, not that I can think of a better alternative though. I'll explain...

With the case closed, the hole lines up perfectly with your headphone jack, and a headphone plug plugs in just fine. But... if you flip open the case it puts pressure on the plug. We all know the fragility of mini headphone jacks and I'd hate to end up shorting it out by putting pressure on it. You can get around it by holding your finger on the top of the case, while carefully opening the front flap, but this is kind of tedious. This becomes a problem when using this as an MP3 player for walking, exercising, etc. Say you're going for a stroll, taking the dog around the block, you find your playlist/album/whatever, start playing it, close the case, insert your headphone, and you're on your way. Now you find you need to adjust the volume slightly, or skip a track because you keep hearing "number 9, number 9, number 9" in your head, and you just want to get to some upbeat walking music. You need to open the flap to get to the navigation keys or use the touchscreen with the stylus to change your volume or change your track. But you'll need to be careful of putting pressure on the headphone plug. Not to mention, you will not be able to get your stylus out unless you do remove the headphone plug. Your alternate workaround is just leaving the case open, but that leaves your screen vulnerable. To avoid the trouble, you could take your headphone out everytime you do this, but who wants to do that? Besides, constantly plugging and unplugging your headphone plug puts wear and tear on that fragile mini jack as well.

I guess it's one of those, "they can't think of everything" things. Or can they? I guess the upside is, at least they GIVE you a headphone hole. If they didn't I'd have no choice but to keep the cover flipped open whenever I'm listening to music.

My thought is maybe this will become less of an issue as the leather softens, but I'm not sure it will. The leather is tough (and that's a good thing) and sturdy.

All in all, even with the headphone thing, I highly recommended this to anyone looking for a really nice case for their Palm TX (the price is great too!).

2 out of 5 stars Broken Clip   January 16, 2008

Clip broke on case side after 4 mos of light use. Had to repurchase another holder. I did NOT purchase another Krusell. Only had a 30 day guaranteeKrusell Orbit with Multidapt Leather Case for PalmOne Palm Tungsten T5 / TX. I hope not to spend $40.00 dollars every month!!

4 out of 5 stars Good Value for the Money.   January 12, 2008

I'm very pleased with the Krusell leather case. The alignment of my Palm TX in the case is perfect, unlike with the hard case I tried out that partially covered the headphone receptacle. I like the way the top of the case folds behind the Palm so you can easily hold it in one hand when the case is open. Also, it's easier to grip the leather case than the hard case which was somewhat slippery.

I originally bought the hard case because I didn't want my Palm to get damaged by all the other stuff I carry in my purse. But the Krusell leather case is plenty sturdy enough to do the job.

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the flimsy belt clip mentioned in other reviews. But, all in all, I consider the Krusell leather case a good value for the money.
