VTEC 5,8 Cordless Phone October 12, 2008 Dale Kennedy (Concord, CA) Great product! Easy to use, and loads of features. I think the quality at least matches that of the name-brand phones I've purchased. Yes, I would recommend this phone to my friends!
Got it right first time. February 22, 2007 redswd (St Joe MO) Vtech could have quit with this one. It's perfect!
2 years and still going strong November 24, 2006 B. Morrison (Riverside, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use these phones with Vonage and they have been working great for nearly 2 years. I will definitely buy VTECH again.
Interference on FM radio reception June 5, 2006 Ricky Dee (Warren, NJ United States) It took me the better part of a day to finally isolate the culprit that was causing a clicking noise about every 5 seconds when I would listen to certain stations on the FM radio band. But finally I unplugged the base station and suddenly the constant clicking noise while listening to the FM radio was gone. It was very noticible when listening to stations in the 100-103 Mhz range. Otherwise, the phone has been great. The speakerphones in the handset are pretty good and the quality is good given the handsets have survived well when dropped. I'd give the phone 4 stars if it wasn't for the interference issue. But I chose a 5.8 Ghz phone thinking I'd avoid interference issues. However, my old 2.4 Ghz never caused the clicking on the FM radio.
VTech 5831...what's all the fuss about January 30, 2006 Osito Rican (U.S.A & MEX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well I have to say after reading some reviews I was leaning towards not buying the unit, but I did anyway. True about the replacement batteries. They are hard to find, but I did find a place to buy a backup just in case. So far so great with the functionality. One thing I do note is that the charge doesn't last as long as my former phones, but then again those didn't have half the features this phone has.
