Caroline writes that you need a battery pack holder kit in order to use this battery, which is not completely true. The description above says this battery is made for the Panasonic HDC-SD9, HDC-HS9, and HDC-SX5. If you have one of these cameras, you do not need any kit. If you have another camera then you do...but there is probably another battery specifically for those cameras. I have an HS9 and this battery has worked great with it!

You need the Panasonic VW-VH04-K Battery Pack Holder Kit to use this battery, and it's superhard to find--I tried a half-dozen places online, and no luck--I called Panasonic and they were all apologetic, but guess what? THEY DON'T HAVE ANY OF 'EM, AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL HAVE ANY OF 'EM. Miserable support for this camera.

I have only had this battery a short time but it meets my expectations. If you are going to have an extra battery, it may as well be a longer lasting one.
