I found adding it to a 40D body with two batteries and a medium zoom it felt like I was walking around with a 5 pound brick tied to my neck. Carry a spare battery in your front pocket.. it's a lot lighter and you'll save on chiropractor visits.

Beware that the batteries are "generic" CTA brand and not Canon batteries. You actually only save about two dollars over buying everything separately (not including the cleaning kit).
