Product Description This high performance desktop battery backup features maximum protection in a versatile design. The fully featured APC Back-UPS RS can be placed on the floor, or on a shelf. Up to six battery backup outlets with automatic voltage regulation (AVR) enable you to work through even the most frequent brownouts and power sags, keeping 75/90/110 minutes of battery power for when you need it most. For printers and other devices that do not store or process information, up to three additional outlets provide surge protection. Both Ethernet 10/100BaseT and telephone dataline surge protection safeguards against surges entering via network connections. The PowerChute Personal Edition software features easy-to-use safe system shutdown with sophisticated power management.

APC that works... August 28, 2008 Tom Mckeon (Largo, FL USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This APC covers all my electronics and gives me a secure back-up power. Arrived in a timely manner and functions as promised.
Excellent product. July 10, 2008 C. Collins (NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The UPS is easy to set up and install and seems reliable. It has already bridged several short power outages, supporting uninterrupted service.
Very pleased with Back-UPS June 13, 2008 peace_hermit 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am using this Back-Ups with the Pentium 4 computer I built with Windows Vista Ultimate. The software works fine and I have 20 minutes of battery power if the electricity goes out. My small accessories will run also. This also monitors drops in line voltage and has activated several times and line voltage has fluctuated here where I live, and it keeps constant and safe power supplied to my computer and 19" LCD monitor. I am very pleased and recommend this to anyone interested to protect their computer investment. The shipping was about $30 if I recall so I signed up for Amazon Prime 2 day shipping for $79/year. This way my Backups got here in 2 days and all the things I buy on Amazon get free 2 day shipping for one year. This is actually a great saving and things I need get here fast.
works ! March 20, 2008 shopper (hawaii) Works as advertised and was cheaper than any computer store. Sometimes I can hear it clicking on and off providing smooth power as I sit at the computer which doesn't miss a beat. Hawaii's power grid is comparable to Yugoslavia's -- you better have a UPS for your electronics and a generator in your storage shed. I shudder to think what would be left of my brand new iMac if I had just plugged it into our island's stone-age power supply.
good for small office October 28, 2007 Paul V. Verlangieri 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
we use it to back up our phone equipment for a small office. So far, so go.
