Working great for over a year now. October 11, 2008 Terry Field (Albany, NY) I purchased this D-Link hub for use with my Dell Latitude D820 Laptop over one year ago and now I'm back to buy another one for my second home office laptop, a recently purchased Dell Latitude D830. I did my research the first time around and when I find something that works well, I find it efficient to stick with it! This hub has done the job admirably and I highly recommend it. No problems whatsoever, easy to set up, easy to use and nothing to worry about. Perfect for someone like me that wants to plug it in, start using it and never think about it again. My highest recommendation is that I'm back to buy a second one.
Drops connections all of the time October 8, 2008 Chapman 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought two of these hubs for computer stations in an electronic music lab. Both of them lose connection which means that users may lose keyboard, mouse, piano keyboard, or control surface at any time. If it's the keyboard or mouse, you can simply replug the device to reset the connection. If its the midi interface, then it's time for a restart my friends. This is a total drag for the students who use it and a constant source of trouble. I would be more than delighted to find a reliable hub...do they make one? In short...DON'T BUY THIS HUB
works October 3, 2008 GE works for me... the only thing i have that has a problem with it is a mackie midi controller for my recording software; it wants a port direct in on it's own. but the other 6 usb periphals all work fine on it.....
D-Link DUB-H7 USB 7 Port Hub October 1, 2008 Fl Redneck (Fl USA) D-Link DUB-H7 High Speed USB 2.0 7-Port HubPowered Hub, easy installation,it works as advertised with Mac OS X.Very reliable.
Don't mess around with a cheap Hub - buy this one September 18, 2008 J. Ogann (Iowa) I've had a couple of cheap hubs and had to send them back. This one is outstanding. Win XP accepted it with no issues and all of my USB items worked the first time. This includes iPods, cameras, external HD's (powered from the hub), external DVD burner, click drives and a floppy. My strategy was to save the connectors on my laptop. I have docking station but was still plugging things into the laptop itself regularly. This ended all that and it is totally transparent.
