Great for Europe January 5, 2009 roppe (Maitland, FL United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Served us well on a trip to Spain, Malaga and Cordoba areas, even Gibraltar. Not only showed us the roads and gave directions, even warned of location of "speed cameras."
great in usa..not so great in Italy January 5, 2009 Delia Mathews 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love the Garmen 270 in the usa. It is easy to read and I use it frequently. However it did not help in Venice, Italy or Florence, Italy. I could not get oriented in either city.
Garmin GPS makes great gift.a January 2, 2009 J. W. Garrett (Troy Alabama) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought one for my son and one for my father-in-law for christmas. It has been very easy to use for both. I was worried about giving it to my father-in-law because he is not very good with high tech gadgets but he has been able to use it with no troble. The price is also a great value.
easy to start, easy to use January 1, 2009 Franco Consonni (Sao Paulo, Brazil) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I live in Brazil and wanted to buy A GPS navigator that could be used both in the USA and in Europe. So far I did use it only in yhe USA and the experience has been a very good one. Since I will be using the product on rented/leased cars I bought also the portable dashbord support, that I fully approved too. Resuming: very easy to install and excellent funcionality.

I bought this GPS in November 2008, and I think its a good gps for long drives mostly on freeway, but not on streets...battery life is not good but overall its good!
